Hey, I'm Johan — a Senior Software Engineer based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I'm a polyglot developer who enjoys working across the stack, though my heart is in backend and distributed systems.

My day-to-day involves building reliable, scalable software. I'm always exploring new languages, frameworks, and paradigms — lately I've been diving deeper into AI and how it's reshaping the way we build and ship software.

This blog exists mostly as a personal reference — a place to document things I've learned so I can find them again later. If other developers find it useful along the way, even better.

Outside of work, you'll find me enjoying the Sunshine Coast lifestyle — getting outdoors, pursuing creative hobbies, and hanging out with my two French Bulldogs.
